Form 5 Higher Education Preparation Day
The Higher Education Preparation Day was held on 2nd July. This full day event was organised in conjunction with the evaluation of the Work Experience Program to help Form 5 students reflect on their learning and to prepare them to make better decisions in their upcoming year.
In the morning session, students shared with one another their experiences while working outside school for the week. Students were excited to talk about what they learnt in industries ranging from healthcare, marketing, cyber security, education, business, finance, sports and recreation and more!
Shortly afterwards, students were given the opportunity to explore various further studies options through a series of workshops dedicated to different destinations and subjects, such as considerations and personal statements for studying in the UK, North America, Australia and the application procedures for Healthcare, Sports, Art & Design. In addition, students were given time to research and discuss with teachers their thoughts on their future plans.
The event ended on an encouraging note as Mr. Higgins inspired our students to make mature and thoughtful decisions about their futures.
